You are bidding for Explorer II MK1 dial with MK2 bezel.
Produced from 1971 until about 1984 in a steel version only, the Explorer II accompanies the production of the Explorer I but with the addition of the 24 hour indicators on the graduated external face; an important innovation for the explorer who will use it in the dark to identify the time difference between morning or evening, to know for example if it is 10:00 or 22:00. In the collector’s world it will be nicknamed “the big arrow” due to the dimensions of the 24 hour hand.
The caliber used for the complete production is the 1575 (the trailing 5 indicates the presence of the date) however we still find the base caliber reference number 1570 engraved on the winding bridge.
