A Fine and Impressive Antique Victorian English Sterling Silver Spirit Kettle

Description

This kettle has an ovoid shaped form onto a circular pedestal foot.

The kettle sits to its original circular stand supported by three cabriol style legs.

The kettle is secured to the base by the original hallmarked pegs and link chains.

The stand is fitted with the original hallmarked sterling silver spirit burner.

The kettle and stand have all over bright cut engraved decoration.

The body of the kettle has a plain oval vacant cartouche to either side.

The flush hinged hallmarked cover is fitted with the original sterling silver urn style finial.

The kettle is fitted with a shaped plain hallmarked sterling silver handle.

Condition

This kettle is an extremely good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.
The engraved decoration is very crisp.
Full hallmarks are struck to the underside of the kettle base and surface of the stand.  Part marks as to be expected, are struck to the interior of the cover, burner and pegs.
All the hallmarks are very clear.
