START Bid: US$ 250.00
Bids : 7
Winning Bid :US$ 465.76
Description:
WOW! The RAREST of the rare in LaGardo Tackett Eggheads.....a hole-in-the-head, side-load cork head! Circa 1959, the motif is of Caesar with an olive branch head garland and his famous last words, "ET TU BRUTE?".
This beauty measures about 11" Tall with a 5 5/8" Diameter base. The widest part of the egg measures 6 5/8" and the cork hole is a whopping 3" Diameter. The cork is ORIGINAL! Condition is EXCELLENT with absolutely no damage whatsoever.
Underside is signed and dated. These Eggheads were designed by LaGardo Tackett and produced by Schmid International in the 1950s. They were available to customers by order through Playboy and Esquire magazines.
These great condom canisters are getting harder and harder to find and this one with the hole-in-the-head access is so hard to come by....hardly ever even seen! In fact, finding reference to one is nearly impossible on the internet! Whatever you do.....do NOT let this one get away....this will MAKE your collection! Good Luck!!
